Join Urban Hearth at Notch Brewing for a Mid-Atlantic inspired Chesapeake Steamed Crab Feast at the spacious Notch Biergarten in Brighton!

Chef Erin Miller’s thoughtful and creative cuisine celebrates the bounty of New England farms and fisheries. But at the root of every dish, you will find inspiration that draws on her memories as a child in Virginia, her family roots in the South and fascinating heritage drawing on traditions from Eastern Europe and Sicily that have made an indelible impression on her family story.

This summer, she wants to share a very special food memory. Her favorite summertime tradition is gathering around the table, beer in hand, to feast on steamed crabs. Messy, spicy and joyful, this communal meal has been at the center of summertime gatherings in her family for generations. Erin has deep family ties to the Tidewater region of Virginia, having spent every summer at her grandmother’s home on the Rappahannock river. Those summer afternoons often ended with newspapers spread on the porch table, a cooler full of cold drinks and steamed crabs. The stories and laughter shared around this table still ring out decades later and the taste of sweet steamed crab is a taste memory that she longs for when the mercury starts to rise.

Join Chef Erin, her Urban Hearth team, and our friends at Notch Brewing in Brighton as we get our hands dirty, tell some stories, laugh a lot, and enjoy this quintessential summer feast. Crab Feast 2024 will be hosted at the spacious Notch Biergarten in Brighton on Saturday, June 29 starting at 2pm! Enjoy steamed crabs and all the fixings along with ice cold beer provided by Notch Brewing. Select your time slot from 2pm, 4pm, or 6pm. Add extra crab or other options to your ticket as well! Notch beer will be on tap along with non-alcoholic options, oysters from Rocky Neck, and more!

Online ordering is now closed, but we will have some crab available for purchase at the event. We suggest arriving earlier in the day rather than later if you really want crab!
